On September 20, 1973, Delta Downs hosted its very first night of horse racing. On that night, Lit’L Mike’L ridden by Louis Galley became the first to ever cross our finish line. Delta Downs continues our commitment to the excitement and tradition of Louisiana horse racing now and into the future.
